Reading List Circa 2007

One of my greatest passions is reading. On this page you will find a list of my all time favorite books. The titles are ordered in general by how much I enjoyed them. My tastes are a bit eclectic but I'm sure you'll see some definite leanings in my preferences. The order of titles also shows to some degree how long ago I read the book in question. I tend to favor a recently read book more than one that I read ten or twenty years ago. If you're looking for some good books it is my opinion that you can't go wrong with any of these titles.

For a very long time L. M. Montgomery's Anne of the Island has sat at the top of this list. It has been a long time favorite of mine ever since I read it for the first time around 1989. I guess it's a sign that my tastes are changing again that another book has finally supplanted its place. It feels like a sacrilege to be pushing that timeworn classic down the list in favor of a much more recently written book but nothing is forever, I suppose. On with the list!
